Listing Your First Property

This guide walks you through creating a professional property listing that attracts quality tenants.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • High-quality photos of the property (at least 5-10 images)
  • Accurate measurements and room counts
  • Monthly rent amount and available date
  • Property address and postcode

Step 1: Access Property Management

  1. Sign in to your PropertyPanda account
  2. Click Dashboard in the navigation
  3. Select Properties from the sidebar

Step 2: Add Property Details

Click Add Property to start creating your listing.

Basic Information

  • Property Type - House, flat, studio, etc.
  • Bedrooms - Number of bedrooms
  • Bathrooms - Number of bathrooms
  • Address - Full property address (postcode enables map display)

Pricing

  • Monthly Rent - Your asking price
  • Deposit - Typically 5 weeks' rent (capped by Tenant Fees Act 2019)
  • Available From - When tenants can move in

Step 3: Upload Photos

Quality photos are crucial for attracting tenants:

  • Use landscape orientation
  • Ensure good lighting (natural light works best)
  • Include all rooms and exterior shots
  • First photo becomes your listing thumbnail

Step 4: Write Your Description

A good description should include:

  • Property highlights and unique features
  • Nearby amenities (transport, schools, shops)
  • Any included appliances or furnishings
  • Tenancy terms and requirements

Step 5: Publish Your Listing

Review all details, then click Publish. Your property will appear:

  • On your agent storefront
  • In PropertyPanda search results
  • Ready for tenant enquiries
